New Photos from Jurassic World

It's been over 20 years since the old-school Alan Grant, the lovable Ellie Sattler, and the eccentric Ian Malcolm took the ill-fated test drive through dino land in Jurassic Park. Time will tell if the scope of the fourth entry in the prehistoric-meets-modern-day thriller series will be as ambitious as the original. We'll have to wait until June of 2015 to find out, but newly released photos from Jurassic World allow us to get acquainted with some of the core cast right now.

The three photos feature actors Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, and Ty Simpkins. The third photo has an ominous feel to it, as Nick and Ty are shown looking at something with eyes wide and mouths agape, as Nick holds what looks to be a muddied construction helmet in one hand.

In April, Jurassic World began filming in Hawaii. Set for release on June 12th of 2015, Safety Not Guaranteed‘s Colin Trevorrow is directing, with Steven Spielberg on board as an executive producer. The script was written by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly. Although there are no official plot/character details at this time, we know that the aforementioned cast members in the photos are joined by Vincent D’Onofrio and Irrfan Khan, with Vincent reportedly playing the film's villain. We'll keep Daily Dead readers updated as more photos surface and details materialize. Hopefully we'll get our first look at the dinosaurs soon.
