The film and TV adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower series continues to move forward. Deadline is reporting that Battlestar Galactica writer Mark Verheiden has been brought on as co-writer for The Dark Tower TV series. He will be joining Akiva Goldsman, who is also working on the film's screenplay.
While the project is not officially a go, the plan is to have a TV show running in between a trilogy of films as a way to adapt the whole series of books. As this is an NBC/Universal deal, the TV show could air on a number of stations including NBC and SyFy.
