We haven't heard much about Jurassic Park 4 since last year, but we didn't think Universal had given up. Now a report reveals that two new writers have been officially hired to work on the project.
Steven Spielberg mentioned that Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend) had been working on the script last year, but Deadline is reporting that Rise of the Planet of the Apes writers Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver are now on board. Most recently, they worked on the story for the upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
While Spielberg talked about the possibility of directing previously, he is now only set to have a producing role. There is no word on who may be directing the film, but we'll report back when more information becomes available. Fans of Jurassic Park will have to wait at least a couple of years before a new Jurassic Park movie is released to theaters, but the original film will be re-released to theaters in 3D on April 5th, 2013.
