Enough time has passed in the world of AMC's The Walking Dead for a whole new generation to experience their formative years among the living dead, and in their third Walking Dead series, AMC will explore what it means to grow up in a world where walkers roam.

We recently shared the first photos from the untitled series and now we have a look at the first trailer following it's premiere during the NYCC "Walking Dead" panel:

"AMC released today the gripping trailer from the upcoming third series in The Walking Dead Universe. The series made its panel debut at New York Comic Con today, Saturday, October 5th, with participants including Co-Creators Scott M. Gimple, Showrunner Matt Negrete and Executive Producer Robert Kirkman along with cast members Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Annet Mahendru, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston and Nico Tortorella.

The third installment of the franchise will feature two young female protagonists and focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad. Produced and distributed by AMC Studios, the series will premiere on AMC in spring 2020."
