The upcoming Underworld movie has been referred to as Underworld 4: New Dawn, but Shock just reported that there is a new official title. We have separately confirmed with Screen Gems that the official title of the fourth Underworld film is Underworld Awakening.

Scheduled for release on January 20, 2012, Underworld Awakening is directed by Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein, and stars Kate Beckinsale, Michael Ealy, and India Eisley. The new film has Selene escaping imprisonment and awakening "...to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species".
