Guillermo del Toro is getting ready to shoot Pacific Rim this fall and is in the process of finalizing casting. Charlie Hunnan, Idris Elba, Charlie Day and Max Martini have been previously announced and Rob Kazinsky has just joined the cast as well.

It is also reported that Willem Dafoe is in talks to play "a rogue scientist with expertise on alien creatures"Pacific Rim will arrive in theaters on July 12th, 2013 and is “Set in a future in which malevolent creatures threaten the earth ... the planet must band together and use highly advanced technology to eradicate the growing menace”
