We are sad to report that Pete Postlethwaite has passed today at the age of 64 after a long battle with cancer. His name may not be instantly familiar to everyone, but Pete Postlethwaite was an amazingly talented actor that shined in even the smallest of roles. He has almost 100 acting credits, starting out in the mid 70's, and working consistently since then.

Last year he appeared in The Town, Inception, and Clash of the Titans, while I will always remember him from The Usual Suspects and Alien 3. Horror fans may also recognize him as Father Brennan in the 2006 remake of The Omen. This is not a great way to start off the new year in horror news, but he will definitely be remembered, as many of these films and his performances in them will be enjoyed for decades to come.
