"If you could find out exactly when you're going to die... would you want to know?" That's the compelling (and creepy) question at the core of the new horror movie Countdown, and to celebrate Friday the 13th, STX Entertainment released the first trailer for the film ahead of its release this October.

In the trailer and images below, a group of friends go up against an evil app that predicts their deaths to be just around the corner in the trailer for Countdown, coming to theaters on October 25th from STX Entertainment.

Written and directed by Justin Dec, Countdown stars Elizabeth Lail, Jordan Calloway, Talitha Bateman, Tichina Arnold, P.J. Byrne, and Peter Facinelli. The film was produced by John Rickard, Zack Schiller, Sean Anders, and John Morris.

"In COUNTDOWN, when a young nurse (Elizabeth Lail) downloads an app that claims to predict exactly when a person is going to die, it tells her she only has three days to live. With time ticking away and death closing in, she must find a way to save her life before time runs out."
