This past weekend, Bethesda invited me down for QuakeCon. Having not attended the event in over a decade, it was great to see PC gaming and the iconic shooter series thriving and entertaining a whole new generation of gamers. But, my main focus during the show was checking out The Evil Within 2, which promises to have everything you loved from the first game, while offering new ways to play and explore the STEM world.

During my time at QuakeCon, I played through a good portion of the game's first act and will be sharing impressions, along with my interview time with the game's creative team soon. Until then, these screenshots show off just a sampling of STEM's horrific inhabitants you'll be facing in The Evil Within 2.

"How will you survive in The Evil Within 2? Visit https://beth.games/2u69ezl and never miss new information on The Evil Within 2.

"It's all your fault..."

That’s the mantra running through Sebastian Castellanos’ mind. Plagued by memories of the daughter he couldn’t save and a mystery he could never solve, he begins to lose himself in his past mistakes. Sebastian lives out his nightmares every day, unable to pull himself from his downward spiral. Until an old friend-turned-traitor reenters his life with an offer: Return to the nightmare and save your daughter. The Evil Within 2 gives a broken man the chance to make things right and find the peace he so deserves, but he’ll have to go through hell first.

The Evil Within 2 releases worldwide Friday the 13th, October 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC."
