Release Date for James Wan’s The Conjuring

The new horror film from Insidious and Saw director James Wan now has a release date. Previously, it was known as The Conjuring and then it was referred to as The Warren Files. The release date is once again listed under the name "The Conjuring", but the title could change. Either way, Warner Bros. has set a release date of January 25th, 2013.

The story is is inspired by supposedly real events that happened to the Perron family, who claimed they "lived among the dead in the 1970s as spirits both friendly and sinister inhabited their Rhode Island farmhouse." The movie stars Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston, and Lili Taylor.

Roger and Carolyn Perron purchased the home of their dreams and eventual nightmares in December of 1970.
