The deadly doll known as Annabelle will return to the big screen in a new movie this summer, and audiences can now look forward to seeing it several days earlier than expected.

According to Box Office Mojo, Warner Bros. will release New Line Cinema's latest (currently untitled) Annabelle film in theaters on Friday, June 28th, moving it up several days from its previous Wednesday, July 3rd release date. So, if you'll be out of town for the Fourth of July, you'll now have plenty of time to see the newest entry in The Conjuring cinematic universe before heading out for some fun in the sun.

During their ScareDiego event last year, New Line Cinema revealed that the third Annabelle film (currently awaiting its final title) will revolve around the titular creepy doll tormenting the Warrens' daughter at their home, and Warner Bros. revealed an official synopsis for the new entry in James Wan's Conjuring cinematic universe:

"Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safely” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target—the Warrens’ ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends."

Written and directed by Gary Dauberman (based on a story idea from James Wan and Dauberman), the third Annabelle movie stars McKenna Grace, Madison Iseman, Katie Sarife, Patrick Wilson, and Vera Farmiga.
