2014/04/11 21:27:34 +00:00 | Jonathan James

Life After Beth is a new zombie movie, starring Aubrey Plaza, that made its premiere at Sundance. The movie was acquired in late January and we now know when it will hit theaters. A24 has announced that Life After Beth will begin a limited theatrical release on August 15th, which likely means that horror fans in LA and NY will get to see it first.

Previously, it was revealed that DirecTV, who acquired the movie with A24, would have an exclusive 30-day window before any theatrical engagement, but there was no mention of that during the recent announcement. We'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers posted on VOD, Blu-ray, and DVD release details.

"Zach is devastated by the unexpected death of his girlfriend, Beth. When she mysteriously returns, he gets a second chance at love. Soon his whole world turns upside down…"

Directed and written by Jeff Baena, the main cast of Life After Beth includes Aubrey Plaza, Dane DeHaan, John C. Reilly, Molly Shannon, Cheryl Hines, Paul Reiser.
