The Resident Evil movie franchise keeps chugging along. We already knew that there were plans for another 3D sequel, but it looks like Screen Gems is wasting no time in getting the next installment on the big screen.

According to multiple sources, the new Resident Evil film will be released on September 14th, 2012. Based on the ending to Afterlife, I'm assuming that we'll see most or all of the main cast return. We'll post more information as it is released.
