We interviewed Jay Bonansinga when he was wrapping up The Governor novels and it seemed very likely that he'd be back for more novels set in The Walking Dead universe. Fans of his work won't have too long to wait, as it has just been announced that Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga will kick off a brand new 4-book series with The Walking Dead: Descent.

Due out on October 14th from Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin’s Press, the new story will focus on Lilly Caul, a survivor of the battle between The Governor and Rick's group at the prison. According to EW, we'll see Lilly "returns to the town [Woodbury] and attempts to rebuild it after the Governor’s failed assault on the prison".

This adds a lot more credence to the idea that Lilly Caul will make a return to the comic book series and is the woman on the cover of the upcoming issues of The Walking Dead comic book series. For more on that, visit our recent coverage at:
