If you listened to our Silent Hill / Resident Evil episode of Corpse Club, then you know that here on Daily Dead, we're big fans of Christophe Gans' 2006 adaptation of the haunting Konami video game, so we're thrilled with Scream Factory's announcement of a Silent Hill Collector's Edition Blu-ray.

Featuring new artwork by Devon Whitehead, the Silent Hill Collector's Edition Blu-ray is slated for a July 9th North American release. Full bonus features will be announced at a later time, but you can read on for additional details and a look at the cover art featuring some of the film's most memorable (and nightmare-inducing) moments.

From Scream Factory: "The 2006 horror hit SILENT HILL (starring Radha Mitchell and based off the popular game with the same name) is coming to Blu-ray this Summer from us in an all-new Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release!

Here are the early details we have at present time:

• National street date for North America (Region A) is July 9th.

• Release will come with a slipcover (guaranteed for three months after its original release date).

• The newly-commissioned artwork pictured comes to us from Devon Whitehead (Trick r Treat, Valentine, Sleepwalkers). This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will feature alternate theatrical artwork (woman walking towards the town’s sign in the fog).

• Extras will be confirmed on a later date but we can confirm today this will be a 2-disc set and fully-loaded with extras. We are working closely with Director Christopher Gans.

Pre-orders on our site begin today which includes the Blu-ray plus a rolled 18” x 24” poster of the new art. The poster is exclusive to us and will be made at a limited-run: https://www.shoutfactory.com/…/silent-hill-collector-s-edit…"
