For a couple of weeks now, rumors have been floating around that Sienna Gillory would not be returning as Jill Valentine in the upcoming Resident Evil movie. We've passed on reporting them, because we've been waiting on official confirmation and now we have an update from Sienna Guillory, herself.

Sienna took to her Twitter page to announce that she was taking a meeting with director Paul W.S. Anderson today about her involvement in the film, and just posted another update to let fans know that she'll be in the film: "THANK YOU SO MUCH! RETRIBUTION HERE I COME!"

Resident Evil: Retribution will be released on September 14th, 2012 and begins filming later this year. The latest entry in the Resident Evil franchise will continue the storyline from Resident Evil: Afterlife, with a number of characters from the past films expected to return. At this point, only Milla Jovovich and Sienna Guillory are confirmed cast members.
