A dark spin on a Superman-like origin story, a new poster for Brightburn has been revealed, giving horror fans another look at the levitating capabilities of the movie's creepy super-powered kid.

You can view the new poster below (both a still version and motion version), along with an extended trailer featuring Jackson A. Dunn as Brandon Breyer, a troubled extraterrestrial who seems more intent on wiping out mankind with his superpowers than saving it.

Synopsis: "What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?

With Brightburn, the visionary filmmaker of Guardians of the Galaxy and Slither presents a startling, subversive take on a radical new genre: superhero horror."

Brightburn was directed by David Yarovesky, written by Mark Gunn & Brian Gunn, and produced by James Gunn and Kenneth Huang. The cast includes Elizabeth Banks, David Denman, Jackson A. Dunn, Matt Jones and Meredith Hagner. The movie will be released to theaters by Sony Pictures on May 24th.
