Ever since The Strangers was released back in 2008, we've been waiting to see what director/writer Bryan Bertino would take on next. He's been associated with a number of projects, including The Strangers 2, but nothing has moved into production. However, a new report reveals that Bertino is returning to horror with a new found footage movie titled Mockingbird.

According to Shock Till You Drop, "Mockingbird concerns a couple who receive a video camera with a document of strict instructions. If they don't follow the rules, they're told someone will die. The film will follow their hellish ordeal as they do what they are told".

The project is currently in pre-production, with shooting expected to big at the end of February. Paranormal Activity's Jason Blum is on-board as producer and they are currently in the process of casting for the film. There are no other details at this time, but with the movie filming next month, we should have casting details shortly.
