Dead Reckoning is the comic-book style adventure game that serves as a prequel to The Walking Dead TV series. It has previously been released online and for Android devices, but AMC announced that it is now available for the Kindle Fire and Blackberry Playbook.

Game Description: "When Rick wakes from a coma, he finds his wife Lori and his partner Shane gone and the police station basically abandoned. (Sure, former deputy Leon Bassett is still around but he’s a zombie now.) Where are Shane and Lori? How did Leon end up like that? Get to the root of the matter with this interactive teaser of The Walking Dead: Dead Reckoning, AMC’s online game which lets you play the role of Shane Walsh during civilization’s final days. Who’s a threat? Who needs to be saved? Who must be sacrificed for the greater good?"

"The Walking Dead: Dead Reckoning adventure game, already available online and for Android, is now also available as a FREE Kindle Fire and Blackberry Playbook App. Both Amazon.com and Blackberry are featuring the game now in their App stores. Download the app now, then protect and serve as officer Shane Walsh in AMCtv.com's interactive prologue to The Walking Dead TV series."

We've had readers ask us about an iOS version and it seems likely. The delay time is usually based on any technical changes required to port the game to a new device combined with the time it takes the app to be approved at the various app stores. We'll update readers as soon as we hear about the game being available on new devices.
