For the first of my interview sessions with the cast and creators of Fear The Walking Dead, I have highlights from my time with series stars Kim Dickens and Cliff Curtis, along with executive producer David Alpert, who all talk about the early days of the zombie apocalypse and tease what's to come for this new group of survivors:
In 2012, Dr. Travis Langley took us inside the minds of Gotham's protectors and tormentors in Batman and Psychology: A Dark and Stormy Knight. Now, along with a team of expert contributors, Dr. Langley examines the mental effects of the zombie apocalypse in The Walking Dead Psychology: Psych of the Living Dead. At Comic-Con, Daily Dead caught up with Dr. Langley, who discussed further exploring the survivors of Robert Kirkman's living dead world, his upcoming book Star Wars Psychology: Dark Side of the Mind, and much more.
Set to be released just in time for the holidays from Diamond Select Toys, The Walking Dead Minimates Series 8 includes memorable characters from Robert Kirkman's comic book series, including Carl, Gregory, Father Gabriel, and Maggie.
The Comic-Con trailer for Fear The Walking Dead surprised quite a few people who had no idea what to expect from this companion series for The Walking Dead, and I'm really liking the fact that this purposely looks and feels different from the current TV series. We're just a little more than a month away from the premiere and we've updated our gallery with a large addition of episode photos, as well as some behind-the-scenes images as well.
When I caught up with Greg Nicotero at Comic-Con last week, he mentioned that they're pushing the envelope even further with the walker effects this year and that they'll be much more decomposed than last season. Today, we have a look at two photos that show off walkers we'll see early in the season.
Not much to see here on the cover art for The Walking Dead #147, but it does let us know which characters are alive at the start of the October issue.
With last week's Comic-Con trailer release for Fear The Walking Dead, we finally got a good look at the new series that starts in the early days of the zombie apocalypse. Today, AMC released another piece of key art that teases the walkers we'll see spreading the infection in Los Angeles.
Continuing my coverage of The Walking Dead Season 6 press room during Comic-Con, I have my interview session with Greg Nicotero, Melissa McBride, and Andrew Lincoln. Find out what new tricks Greg Nicotero and his team have up their sleeves for the new walkers, learn why Carol will still be making cookies in Alexandria, and read Andrew Lincoln tease this season being about "them and us."
Even if you attended the San Diego Comic-Con, it didn't mean that you were among the smaller portion of the crowd that braved hours of waiting in line to get into Hall H. Thankfully, panel footage from both The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead Hall H panels have made their way online and are available for all to see.
A few of us from the Daily Dead team ventured to Petco Park last night to see if we could evade hordes of zombies during this year's The Walking Dead Escape. As always, it was another fun year, and they mixed it up with some pretty inventive zombie choke points and an appearance by the foul-mouthed, Lucille-wielding Negan.
Following The Walking Dead Hall H panel yesterday at Comic-Con, I joined a small group of journalists for an interview session with the Season 6 cast and creators. For the first part of my interviews, I have quotes from Scott M. Gimple on the lack of Andrea in Alexandria, Lennie James talking about Morgan stirring things up, and Gale Anne Hurd teasing that the Season 6 premiere has more walkers in a single episode than we've ever seen before.
AMC is following up The Walking Dead Hall H panel with a panel dedicated to Fear The Walking Dead, the new series that starts off in the early days of the zombie outbreak. A premiere date of August 23rd was just announced and we have a look at the brand new trailer that played at Comic-Con.
We're at the Hall H panel for The Walking Dead at Comic-Con, where the first trailer for Season 6 made its debut in front of ten thousand eager fans. Picking up right where Season 5 left off, the Season 6 trailer promises the action and zombie effects we've come to expect from the series, while teasing extreme tension between Rick and the residents of Alexandria.
International release dates have been announced for over 17 countries for Zach Lipovsky's Dead Rising: Watchtower. Also: details on The Walking Dead and battle app, Winnin, joining forces, as well as a full image gallery for Appetites.
With tomorrow set to be a big day of reveals for both Fear The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead Season 6, new promos for the former and banners for the latter have been revealed.
