The 2011 Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place last weekend and The Walking Dead won the award for the category of "Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Miniseries, Movie, or a Special". Greg Nicotero and his crew from KNB EFX took home the award, beating out Game of Thrones, Glee, The Cape, and Grey's Anatomy.

The Walking Dead was nominated for "Outstanding Visual Effects" and "Outstanding Sound Editing", but lost out to Boardwalk Empire. Here is the official list of those who won for The Walking Dead:
