To get you ready for January release of Underworld: Awakening, Sony will be releasing the Underworld Trilogy: The Essential Collection. The set will include Underworld: Extended Cut, Underworld: Evolution, and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, along with 2 tickets to see Underworld: Awakening in theaters.

For fans of Underworld that already own all 3 films, this set also includes a brand new 3-part anime series, titled Underworld: Endless War. The first clip from the anime series has been released and we've embedded it for you to check out.

Underworld Trilogy: The Essential Collection will be available on Blu-ray for $45.99 in December. Underworld: Awakening will be released on January 20th, 2012, and stars Kate Beckinsale, Stephen Rea, Michael Ealy, and India Eisley.

Underworld: Awakening Synopsis- “Kate Beckinsale, star of the first two films, returns in her lead role as the vampire warrioress Selene, who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species.”
