We've been covering the V/H/S since the found footage anthology film made its debut at Sundance. Magnolia Pictures acquired the film back in January and we now have the initial list of cities and dates for its theatrical release.

This is not a final list, so we'll be sure to provide more updates with additional screenings as we get closer to October. If you're worried about it not screening in your area, Magnolia will first release V/H/S across various VOD services, starting on August 31st.

V/H/S includes segments directed by Adam Wingard, Ti West, David Bruckner, Glenn McQuaid, Radio Silence, and Joe Swanberg. The film stars Joe Swanberg, Calvin Reeder, Adam Wingard, Sophia Takal, Kate Lyn Sheil, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Chad Villella, and Tyler Gillett.

Synopsis: “When a group of petty criminals is hired by a mysterious party to retrieve a rare piece of found footage from a rundown house in the middle of nowhere, they soon realize that the job isn’t going to be as easy as they thought. In the living room, a lifeless body holds court before a hub of old television sets, surrounded by stacks upon stacks of VHS tapes. As they search for the right one, they are treated to a seemingly endless number of horrifying videos, each stranger than the last."
