This past weekend, James Franco enjoyed his fourth time hosting Saturday Night Live in an episode that featured several holiday sketches. While the episode as a whole delivered plenty of standout moments, nothing was quite as memorable as the unforgettable "Gift Wrap" sketch, which might be the most memorable (and messy) holiday SNL skit since Will Ferrell sang "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" on a rapidly spinning, vomit-inducing platform.

Starring James Franco and Kate McKinnon as Bloomingdale's employees in the gift wrap section, the new SNL holiday skit turns a seemingly simple paper cut into a springboard for one of the most blood-soaked sketch in SNL history (ranking right up there with SNL's shocking Dead Poets Society spoof from 2016). Ever the dutiful employee and full of the holiday spirit, Franco's character still attempts to wrap customers' gifts despite losing enough blood to fill an elevator at the Overlook Hotel.

Limbs are lost and laughs are had in the crimson-stained holiday treat, which you can watch in its entirety below. Did you see the new skit live on Saturday night? Let us know what you think in the comments section below!
