Watch the Opening Scene of Borgman

2014/06/05 20:48:25 +00:00 | Derek Anderson

Featuring a motley posse that includes a shotgun-toting priest, a disheveled man living underground pursued by the posse, and nearly no dialogue, the first five minutes of Borgman immerse you in an intriguing atmosphere right off the bat. Distributed by Drafthouse Films, Borgman will play at select theaters beginning this weekend.

Directed by Alex van Warmerdam, Borgman will play in New York City this Friday before expanding in the following two weeks. In addition to the first five minutes of Borgman, we also have the film's official trailer for you to watch:

"A dark suburban fable exploring the nature of evil in unexpected places, BORGMAN follows an enigmatic vagrant who enters the lives of an upper-class family and quickly unravels their carefully curated lifestyle. Charming and mysterious, Camiel Borgman seems almost otherworldly, and it isn't long before he has the wife, children and nanny under his spell in a calculated bid to take over their home life. However, his domestic assimilation takes a malevolent turn as his ultimate plan comes to bear, igniting a series of increasingly maddening and menacing events.

Borgman opens in NYC this Friday, and expands June 13th and June 20th. For tickets & showtimes visit http://bit.ly/WatchBorgman"
