Following the surprise announcement that Mark Hamill will be the voice of Chucky in the new Child's Play movie, Orion Pictures has now shared a brand new trailer for the movie that gives us a much better look at what's to come, and we also get the first sample of Mark Hamill's Chucky voice.

Directed by Lars Klevberg, written by Tyler Burton Smith, and produced by Seth Graham-Smith and David Katzenberg, Child's Play stars Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman, Brian Tyree Henry, and Mark Hamill as the voice of Chucky. Orion Pictures will release Child's Play in theaters on June 21st.

Synopsis: "A contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic, CHILD’S PLAY follows Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll, unaware of its more sinister nature."

The new Child's Play is a reimagining of the 1988 film of the same name directed by Tom Holland from a screenplay he co-wrote along with Don Mancini and John Lafia. According to Mancini, Dourif will reprise his role as the voice of Chucky in the Child's Play TV series that is currently in the works at SYFY.

In the upcoming reimagining, instead of a Good Guys doll, Chucky is a Buddi doll with artificial intelligence capabilities, giving the character a tech-centric side in his reign of terror. Stay tuned to Daily Dead for updates on all things Chucky!
