What began with a bold script initially written by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck (which attracted the attention of eventual co-writer and director John Krasinski) has grown into a full-on franchise. The third film in the ever-expanding series, A Quiet Place: Day One will be released in theaters on June 28th, and Paramount Pictures has released the official trailer that invites viewers to "discover why our world went quiet."

Following the harrowing first hours of the Earth's invasion by the creatures who hunt through sound, A Quiet Place: Day One stars Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou.

The new prequel is written and directed by Michael Sarnoski (the filmmaker behind 2021's Nicolas Cage-starring Pig) and based on a story by John Krasinski and Sarnoski (and based on characters created by Bryan Woods and Scott Beck).

You can check out the official trailer and poster below (just make sure to stifle any screams while you watch it... just in case).
