Happy Women in Horror Month, dear readers! With today being the official start to February, that means it's once again time to show a little extra love to all the female genre filmmakers who have helped shape the landscape of horror cinema over the years, and also keep the spotlight on all the current women directors out there hustling and working hard to bring us fans great genre stories that we can continue to enjoy for years to come.

So, in an effort to help you find some great horror and sci-fi movies directed by female directors that are currently streaming, I put together this list of 45 different movies that are available on a variety of digital streaming platforms, including Shudder, Netflix Instant, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Vudu, and Tubi TV. Also, it’s worth mentioning that as of today, The Matrix Trilogy from The Wachowskis has just hit Amazon Prime once again, so if you’ve been meaning to revisit those films, now is a great time to do so.
