Dimension Lands The Home

I was just talking about The Weinstein Company investing in the horror genre yesterday, and we already have an announcement that Dimension Films has picked up The Home.

Being directed by Kristoffer Aaron Morgan, The Home is being described as a "Lovecraftian horror film" and stars Brian Cox, Cloris Leachman, Louise Fletcher, Louis Gossett Jr., Ed Asner, and Fionnula Flanagan.

Plot Synopsis: "The Home unfolds after a firefighter is nearly killed during a failed rescue that leaves him physically and emotionally scarred. To recuperate, he is taken to a secluded nursing home where the elderly residents appear to be suffering from delusions. But after witnessing a violent attack, he soon realizes that the screams behind the walls are caused by more than hallucinations, and the residents are being preyed upon by twisted, monstrous nightmares that lurk within the home itself."

Peter Jackson and WETA have been involved behind the scenes on The Home, and will presumably be involved on some level during production. We have a delightfully disturbing piece of concept art below which is sure to get you excited for this film:
