Mick Garris is currently filming a miniseries based on Bag of Bones, and we just received word that Stephen King is expected to have a cameo role. Sea and Be Scene were the first to tell us about the Bag of Bones miniseries, as well as the casting of Pierce Brosnan.

Now they have shared with us that Stephen King will be playing the role of a clergyman. Of course, Stephen King is no stranger to cameo roles and previously played a priest in Pet Sematary. Some of his other roles include appearances in Creepshow, The Stand, and Sons of Anarchy.

Bag of Bones is being filmed as a four-hour miniseries that will premiere as a two-night special event on A&E. Filming is currently taking place in Nova Scotia, with a cast that includes Pierce Brosnan, Annabeth Gish, Anika Noni,Caitlin Carmichael, and Melissa George.

“Several years after his wife’s death, novelist Mike Noonan still suffers writer’s block. A dream inspires him to return to the couple’s summer retreat in western Maine, a lakeside house called Sara Laughs. Shortly after arriving, Noonan is caught in the middle of a custody battle involving the daughter of an attractive young widow and the child’s enormously wealthy grandfather. He also discovers that Sara Laughs is haunted and that his late wife, Joanna, still has something to tell him.”
