It has been a little bit since we heard anything new about Rob Zombie's latest project. While he was considering a number of projects after Halloween 2, the last thing we've heard was that he was moving forward on a film called The Lords of Salem. Described as a "thriller is set in contemporary Salem, where the inhabitants receive a demonic visit from a 300-year old coven of witches", it has been confirmed that Zombie will begin shooting the film this spring.

Previously, Rob Zombie had mentioned difficulties with creative control on Halloween and Halloween 2, so for those hoping this may be more similar to The Devils Rejects, Rob Zombie will have complete control over this film. Last year, he discussed his deal with Billboard:

"I didn't even have an idea at the time. They were like, 'If you want to make a movie, if you have an idea we will give you complete control over casting, the script, the final cut of the picture -- everything. You never heard that. Nobody hears that. Everything's a battle, but these guys were like, 'That'll be our deal with you.' And I was like, 'Great!' "
