When we last saw Rick Grimes and friends, they were forced participants in a tense rendition of "Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe." The winner of the game met the barrel of Negan's baseball bat, Lucille, and while we won't know who received this unfortunate destiny until The Walking Dead Season 7 premieres in October, EW has released the first photo from the upcoming season that takes viewers back to that fateful night.
EW's first Season 7 photo displays Negan and two of his most well-known (and feared) trademarks: his barbed-wire wrapped baseball bat and a venomous smile. Executive producer/director Greg Nicotero confirmed to EW that the victim of Negan's batting practice at the end of Season 6 (a scene that was shown from the unknown person's point of view) will indeed be revealed in the Season 7 premiere this October.
In the meantime, The Walking Dead cast and crew will be in San Diego next week for a Comic-Con Hall H panel and autograph session at AMC's booth #4237. We'll be covering Comic-Con live from the show floor, so stay tuned to Daily Dead for more The Walking Dead updates in the coming days.
