Two more actors have joined the cast of Godzilla: King of the Monsters to bear witness to the return of the radioactive reptile.

According to Deadline, Charles Dance (pictured above in Game of Thrones) has signed on to play an unknown role in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, with Sally Hawkins also joining the cast to once again play Project Monarch scientist Dr. Vivienne Graham, a role she portrayed in Gareth Edwards' 2014 Godzilla film.

Dance and Hawkins join a cast that includes Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, Ken Watanabe, Aisha Hinds, and O’Shea Jackson Jr. Plot details are being kept under wraps for now, but it was teased several years ago that the antagonistic creatures Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah are expected to appear in the follow-up film, which would make for quite a monster mash on a citywide (or even worldwide) scale.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is also expected to expand Legendary and Warner Bros.' MonsterVerse that includes the characters of the new Kong: Skull Island movie as well as the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong film that is set to hit theaters on May 22nd, 2020.

In the meantime, Michael Dougherty (Trick ’r Treat and Krampus) will direct Godzilla: King of the Monsters from a screenplay he wrote with Zach Shields, and we'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated as more details are revealed.
