The big screen showdown between two of cinema's biggest creatures just moved up a bit on Warner Bros.' release calendar, while the new Scooby-Doo movie has been pushed back to 2020.

Deadline reports that Godzilla vs. Kong is now scheduled to come out on May 22nd, 2020, moving it up from its previous May 29th release that same year.

The new film in Legendary and Warner Bros.' shared MonsterVerse will pit the King of the Monsters against the King of Skull Island. Before Godzilla vs. Kong hits the big screen, Godzilla: King of the Monsters—a sequel to 2014's Godzilla—will stomp into theaters on March 22nd, 2019.

Warner Bros. also slated a yet-to-be-revealed New Line Cinema horror film for a September 7th, 2018 release, and their new Scooby-Doo movie, reportedly titled Scooby, is now scheduled to come out on May 15th, 2020, bumping it back from its previous September 21st, 2018 release.

We'll keep Daily Dead readers updated on all of these projects as more details are revealed. In the meantime, grab a Scooby Snack and let us know which one you're looking forward to seeing the most.
