Doom Reboot from Universal?

It looks like Universal is considering a reboot of Doom, as they still own the rights from the last film adaptation. Although the Doom movie was not successful, the movie had very little to do with the actual game storyline. The Doom games are not as much sci-fi as they are about the opening of hell and summoning of demons, which is something that was mostly left out from the movie.

Right now it is reported that this is at very early stages and that Universal is simply "script scouting", so this may never materialize, but I'd like to see a Doom film done right. It seems like Doom 3 could be pretty easily adapted into a film if you followed the basic storyline presented in the game.
