The gargantuan Kong has never looked better (even more than 80 years after his first on-screen appearance). The latest statue made in his honor comes from Star Ace Toys and is based on his look in the 2017 film Kong: Skull Island. Standing 12 inches tall and holding a helicopter that never stood a chance against the King, the limited edition deluxe version of the soft vinyl statue will be released by Sideshow Collectibles later this year, and we have a look at photos and details for the new figure.

Kong: Skull Island Vinyl Statue: “In the 2017 film “Kong: Skull Island,” a group of explorers visit an uncharted island in the Pacific and battle terrifying monsters including the 100-foot-tall guardian of the island – Kong.

This soft vinyl statue stands 32 cm (12.6 inches) tall and features the mighty king of Skull Island in a defiant pose. The meticulous paint job, sculpted fur and authentic likeness recreate the huge ape in extreme detail.

The Limited Edition Deluxe Version has Kong displayed in a diorama base featuring the Skull Island landscape, holding the helicopter he just grabbed out of the air.

Don't miss the chance to own the Kong you’ve been waiting for!

About the Author - Tamika Jones

Tamika hails from North Beach, Maryland, a tiny town inches from the Chesapeake Bay.She knew she wanted to be an actor after reciting a soliloquy by Sojourner Truth in front of her entire fifth grade class. Since then, she's appeared in over 20 film and television projects. In addition to acting, Tamika is the Indie Spotlight manager for Daily Dead, where she brings readers news on independent horror projects every weekend.

The first horror film Tamika watched was Child's Play. Being eight years old at the time, she remembers being so scared when Chucky came to life that she projectile vomited. It's tough for her to choose only one movie as her favorite horror film, so she picked two: Nosferatu and The Stepford Wives (1975).
