The interesting thing about the format of American Horror Story is that it will allow Ryan Murphy to bring in new talent without the huge commitment of having to appear for multiple seasons. We were waiting to see who the new faces of season 2 would be and a new report reveals that Maroon 5's Adam Levine is in final negotiations to join the show.

According to EW, "Levine will be playing a contemporary character and half of a couple called The Lovers." They also said that the producers are so happy with Levine that they are willing to shoot around his tour schedule to get him on board.

In case you missed the previous news, the Harmon’s story is done and American Horror Story season 2 features a brand new story, characters, theme, and location. This time the horror will take place in an institution on the east coast. Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Even Peters, and Lily Rabe will all be making a return to the show, but will be playing new characters.

The writing and casting of season 2 is still ongoing, with shooting expected in to start in July. American Horror Story will return this October.
