This is a bit of casting news that gets me interested in the planned Total Recall reboot. Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston is currently in negotiations to star as the villain, according to Variety. There is no word on which character he's playing, but I'm hoping it's someone similar the Richter character played by Michael Ironside in the original.
Update: According to The Hollywood Reporter, they are looking for him to play the role of Cohaagen, who they refer to as: "the leader of Euromerica who, under the cover of protecting his people, is secretly readying an invasion of New Shanghai". Sounds very similar to the role of Cohaagen in the original movie.
The reboot of Total Recall will star Colin Farrell and is scheduled for release on August 3rd, 2012.
