If you know the adrenaline rush of trying to get a generator up and running before a masked killer impales you on a hook, then you've probably enjoyed the thrills and chills of the video game Dead by Daylight (as someone who's ended up on the wrong side of that hook more often than not, I can vouch for this). Featuring a mix of new horror icons and classic cinematic killers (including Freddy Krueger, Ghostface, and Michael Myers, to name a few), Dead by Daylight has given millions of gamers plenty of nightmare fuel since it launched in 2016, and now James Wan's Atomic Monster, Jason Blum's Blumhouse, and Rémi Racine's Behaviour Interactive are teaming up for a feature film adaptation of the killer video game!
While the search is still underway for a director and writer, the Dead by Daylight film will be produced by James Wan, Jason Blum, and Stephen Mulrooney, and it will be executive produced by Behaviour Interactive’s Rémi Racine, Atomic Monster’s Michael Clear and Judson Scott, Blumhouse’s Ryan Turek, and Striker Entertainment’s Russell Binder.
We'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated as more information is revealed, and we have the official press release with more details below:
