A celebratory slasher that slices into the traditional fabric of Christmas-themed cinema, It's a Wonderful Knife invites viewers into Angel Falls, a seemingly idyllic haven where everything is "perfect" around the holidays... except for that masked killer running around town.
With It's a Wonderful Knife now streaming on Shudder, AMC+, and other VOD platforms, Daily Dead had the great pleasure of catching up with Jane Widdop, who plays Winnie Carruthers, a photographer transported to an alternate timeline one year after putting a stop to the Angel Falls killer... who is alive and unwell in this new twisted version of Angel Falls, forcing Winnie and local movie theater projectionist Bernie Simon (Jess McLeod) to team up to take down the Angel Falls murderer once more... and hopefully send Winnie back home to the previous (and slightly less blood-soaked) timeline.
In our new video interview below, Jane talks about the collaborative creative process behind the making of It's a Wonderful Knife, including working with writer/producer Michael Kennedy, director Tyler MacIntyre, and an amazing cast featuring Jess McLeod, Katharine Isabelle, Justin Long, and Joel McHale (who plays Winnie's dad or "not dad" dad, depending on the timeline). Jane also talks about the heart within the horror of It's a Wonderful Knife, and they also share some of their favorite holiday movies and discuss what it was like to film the scenes when they were face to face with the mirror-like mask of the Angel Falls killer!
