FAILURE!: "Red Water Entertainment has released the one-take thriller FAILURE! starring Ted Raimi (Spiderman, The Quarry) On Digital and On Demand January 28.
Shot in a continuous 87-minute take, this Mexican-U.S. co-production follows business tycoon James (Raimi), a devoted family man facing a dire ultimatum: resolve a crushing bank debt within an hour or risk losing his business. With greedy associates, deceitful friends, and haunting ghosts from his past closing in, James is pushed to the brink, faced with the unthinkable choice between financial ruin or murder.
Written and directed by Alex Kahuam (Forgiveness), FAILURE! makes a historic achievement as the first time a Mexican director has created a feature film without cuts in the United States. Joining Raimi in the cast are Merrick McCartha (Senior Year), Melissa Diaz (Ruthless), John Paul Medrano (Seven Days), Daniel Kuhlman (Voodoo MacBeth), and Noel Douglas Orput.
The film screened at the 2023 inaugural Fantastic Pavilion Gala, the genre showcase of the Cannes Film Market. After that, it made its world debut at Frightfest in 2023 and was screened at Morbido Film Fest, Fantaspoa, and Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT: "Failure! is a story about a middle-aged man who is struggling due to a huge debt with the bank. Except it’s deeper than that — it’s an ex- ploration about one’s legacy and pride, and how that plays out being a father versus a business owner and ultimately committing a murder in order to protect his family. I’m intrigued by the human condition under desperation and how it controls us, more so having witnessed it in someone close to me.
It was my mission and commitment to shoot this story in one single take without any cuts as I wanted the audience to experience all the stages of how desperation unveils it’s layers and the aftermath that fol- lows. I have previously shot long-takes within feature and short films, except it took me the story of Failure! to truly take up the challenge of shooting a one long take film."

Cyfuno Ventures Expands into Cyfuno Group: "On February 6, 2025, Cyfuno Ventures, a full-service film distribution and production company announced its expansion into the newly formed Cyfuno Group.
Founded in 2003 by Cyfuno Group President and CEO Adam Whitton and his brother, Cyfuno Ventures began with no clients, no buyers, no portfolio, and no contacts—a true, built-from-the-ground-up organization. Today, Cyfuno represents over 150 films, with the list growing regularly, and has partnered with more than 300 distribution and platform partners. Now, Whitton says, it is time for the company to grow even further.
“As a company grows, the amount of help we can provide becomes limited by our resources,” said Whitton. “We faced a decision: either stay the course or expand our reach to help more people. The decision was clear—the time to expand our services and our team was right.”
In addition to the original members of Cyfuno Ventures, Whitton has appointed new department heads to lead the expanding programs and services at Cyfuno Group. New team members include:

As part of the company’s growth, the expansion will introduce new services, including RIP Magazine, which will highlight the work of independent filmmakers, and new screenplay services to help emerging screenwriters in ways the company wasn’t previously equipped to support.
“For those who have worked with us before, our core services remain unchanged,” Whitton said. “We will continue to act as distribution consultants, helping independent filmmakers secure the best deals possible for their projects. What’s new are the exciting initiatives we’re rolling out—such as RIP Magazine, which will allow us to showcase the amazing work happening in independent film across the country and the globe, and our new screenplay services that will enable us to support aspiring screenwriters in ways we’ve never been able to before. Looking ahead, Cyfuno Group plans to expand into various forms of production, including feature films, series, audio productions, and podcasts.
