Staytus Unleashes Industrial-Grunge Power with “Kiss N Tell,” Now Streaming Worldwide, Produced by Grammy Winner Mikal Blue: "Electro-industrial artist Staytus has officially released “Kiss N Tell,” now streaming on all major music platforms. A dark, seductive fusion of grunge-era aggression and cinematic tension, the track explores themes of obsession, secrecy, and emotional confrontation through thunderous drums, distorted guitars, and haunting vocal layers.

Produced by Grammy-winning, multi-platinum producer Mikal Blue (OneRepublic, Colbie Caillat, Jason Mraz, Five for Fighting), the single was recorded at Revolver Recording Studio in Thousand Oaks, California. Blue’s visceral yet refined production captures Staytus’s signature blend of industrial grit and melodic vulnerability.

Adding to the explosive sound, Jeff Friedl—renowned drummer for A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, DEVO, The Beta Machine, Kesha, and FILTER—delivers a commanding rhythmic performance that propels the track’s intensity, while Anthony Laurie, guitarist for Los Angeles-based band Thredge, contributes searing guitar lines that heighten the track’s emotional voltage.

Visually, “Kiss N Tell” is inspired by Silence of the Lambs, featuring Staytus with a gothic butterfly across her lips—symbolizing secrecy, metamorphosis, and the haunting beauty of silence. The striking cover art was created by Jessica Christian (“Lovesquish”), whose darkly elegant aesthetic reflects the song’s fusion of vulnerability and danger.

“I see ‘Kiss N Tell’ as a short horror film about love. It’s dark, it’s seductive, and it leaves you questioning who’s in control—the one confessing, or the one listening.” says Staytus. The track blends grunge, industrial, and darkwave into a confessional of obsession and release. A video featuring studio recording footage from Revolver Recording Studio will premiere October 30.

“Kiss N Tell” follows Staytus’s recent single “68 Kill,” produced by Matt McJunkins of A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, and continues her ascent as one of industrial music’s most compelling new voices—a fusion of raw emotion, rebellion, and sonic power."
