The incomparable "Ghoulish" Gary Pullin will be at both Texas Frightmare Weekend and Monsterpalooza later this month, giving horror fans two opportunities to pick up original artwork he created in celebration of George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead. This is the second time that Pullin has visited Evans City Cemetery and talked about this new series of original artwork:

"I recently visited Evans City Cemetery for a second time to see the filming locations and iconic gravestones featured in George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead. With the caretaker's permission, I respectfully performed several grave rubbings.

In 2016, I began a series where I added pen and ink drawings to these rubbings to further honor the film’s legacy and create unique pieces of art. I am excited to announce that I will be adding new works to this series. Please note that these are original pieces and no prints will be made."

Pullin created 12 pieces in total, and we're giving Daily Dead readers an exclusive first look at three of them below. Each piece measures 14” x 17” and is made with wax crayon and pen and ink. Pullin will continue to share the rest of the series on his Instagram account leading up to his convention appearances: https://www.instagram.com/ghoulishgary/

In addition to the Night of the Living Dead artwork, he's also debuting a new poster to celebrate Rob Reiner and the 40th anniversary of Stand By Me: "I’m also debuting a new Stand By Me-inspired poster too! I wanted to continue my exploration of Stephen King’s universe and pay tribute to the film's 40th anniversary and Rob Reiner. It measures 18” x 24” and is limited to 50 copies."

We also have a look at the poster below, and you can see the work of "Ghoulish" Gary Pullin in person at Texas Frightmare Weekend and Monsterpalooza at the end of May. Any remaining items will go online in his store ghoulishgary.com in early June.
