PANICK Entertainment has been on a roll this year: A Black Diamond film was announced, David Dastmalchian and Leah Kilpatrick's The Accessories kicks off next month, and there's a lot more on the way, including an Attack of the Killer Tomatoes graphic novel! The Kickstarter campaign for the Killer Tomatoes graphic novel just launched and we're excited to share an exclusive look at some of the character concept art, along with Bob Fingerman’s full cover:

From the Press Release: "Today, PANICK Entertainment, the publisher behind the equally terrifying and yet lightly comedic horror series, T.A.M.A., as well as The Accessories - the highly anticipated new series from actor David Dastmalchian and writing partner Leah Kilpatrick - announces an all-new graphic novel to tackle the beloved cult horror comedy classic!

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is co-written by Metalshark Bro creators Bob Frantz and Kevin Cuffe, featuring art by Bobby Timony (DC Comics’ League of Super-Pets), with two gorgeous covers from Minimum Wage creator Bob Fingerman and Hack/Slash creator Tim Seeley!

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes finds humanity on the brink of extinction in the year 2045, after decades under siege from Dr. Gangreen’s mutant produce. Alexander, a brave soldier in what remains of the human resistance, volunteers for a dangerous mission: go back in time to the year 2026 and take out Gangreen before he can unleash his ultimate tomato-based plans for world domination!

Meanwhile, back in 2045, the cybernetic tomato forces of Gangreen have salvaged the plans for the human resistance’s time machine and prepare to send their forces back in time to undermine Alexander and his desperate attempt to save humanity. The ultimate battle for tomato supremacy is about to begin!

The graphic novel arrives as Attack of the Killer Tomatoes enters a new era of storytelling, with publishing, consumer products, and the upcoming feature film Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence introducing the iconic franchise to a new generation of fans.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes brings a “fresh” new take on the beloved absurdist horror-comedy franchise, while picking up with fan-favorite characters Chad and Tara, and of course the diabolical Professor Mortimer Gangreen himself!

Some of the perks exclusive to this crowdfunding campaign include:

  • A paperback edition
  • A hardback edition
  • T-Shirts
  • Tomato plushies
  • Art prints
  • ATK movie posters
  • Portfolio reviews and toymaking workshops
  • …and much more!
