Developer Wales Interactive and publisher Skybound Entertainment today announced new digital editions for the popular old-school horror horde shooter Sker Ritual.
Originally released digitally in 2024 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Sker Ritual is the spiritual successor to the acclaimed survival horror game Maid of Sker. Created by a small but mighty team of five at the independent, award-winning developer Wales Interactive, the game is now supported by Skybound Entertainment (The Walking Dead) in partnership with 5th Planet Games.
Today Wales Interactive and Skybound released a new gameplay trailer with details on all new editions as part of the UK Interactive Entertainment (UKIE) For One Night Only event. The new Sker Ritual trailer can be viewed here.
Sker Ritual is a haunting, old-school round-based zombie horde shooter inspired by Celtic folklore and mythology, where players tear through endless waves of supernatural enemies solo or co-op up to 4 players. As players deploy God-like Miracle powers and supercharge their arsenal, they fight to survive devastating boss encounters across six unique maps on an overrun Sker Island.New digital offerings for Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation and Xbox now include:
- Sker Ritual: Nightmare Edition ($19.99): A new, revamped base edition with four previously released, essential DLCs (Draig’s Terror, Stranger Danger, Skerville Slasher, and Sker Ritual x Hazard Levels).
- Sker Ritual: Inferno Edition ($39.99): Base-game along with the complete collection of all DLC released to-date, a total of 15 packs with a full arsenal of unique masks, cosmetics, exclusive items and voice lines inspired by Celtic folklore and mythology to customize your experience.
Wales Interactive has released over a dozen DLC packs and other updates to a fervently dedicated player base, many of whom have been with the game since its initial release, when it quickly rose to the top of digital storefront charts. Sker Ritual has since consistently rated positively among players and, earlier this year passed the 2 million player mark worldwide.
