Join the Eerie Horror Fest at The House On Haunted Hill: "The Eerie Horror Fest crew is once again haunting the halls of the Erie Playhouse. To celebrate becoming an independent non-profit, the Eerie Horror Fest will be hosting a fundraiser in collaboration with the Playhouse on Saturday, October 10th. Doors open at 6pm for a pre-show social hour, with the presentation and screening beginning at 7pm. The team is excited to bring guests a special screening of the Vincent Price classic The House on Haunted Hill, complete with a special brand of “Emergo” created by our friends at the Playhouse. A type of immersive theater pioneered by original director William Castle, “Emergo” techniques included skeletons flying from the rafters of the theater and having on site paramedics, just in case the fear was too much.
Horror fans won’t want to miss Saturday evening’s event, including the pre-show social hour with local food trucks, themed cocktails and spooky snacks before the screening. Alongside the film presentation, the Eerie Horror Fest will be making exclusive announcements regarding the organization’s next ventures.
Both the Eerie Horror Fest and the Erie Playhouse believe in making art as accessible as possible, utilizing sliding-scale pricing for this event. With tickets starting at $20, the first tier handles the base cost for both organizations. The second tier, and recommended ticket price, is $30, which covers the costs for both organizations and allows us to raise funds to continue bringing unique programming to the community. At $40, the third tier is for those who want to support both orgs, while also making it possible to offer lower-cost tickets to those who need them. All proceeds go directly to both organizations to support future programming."
