Kate Beckinsale may be playing Lori in the upcoming Total Recall reboot. Deadline is reporting that she has been offered the role played by Sharon Stone in the original. If Kate Beckinsale signs on, she will be joining Collin Farrell in the Len Wiseman-directed reboot.
Jessical Biel was previously reported to be circling a role and Bryan Cranston will be playing Cohaagen. While not too many details have been revealed, the setting of the film has been changed:
“The new story involves nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai, with Douglas Quaid (Farrell) a factory worker in the latter who begins to believe he is a spy, although he doesn’t know for which side.”
There are plenty of roles that still need to be cast and we'll report as soon as we hear anything. The new version of Total Recall is scheduled to be released on August 3rd, 2012.
