Release Date Change for Sinister

If you were looking forward to seeing Sinister in theaters, you're going to have to hold out a bit longer, as the release date has just changed. While originally scheduled for release on October 5th, it has now been moved to October 12th. No official reason has been given, but Summit must have felt Sinister would perform better against Argo and Seven Psychopaths, than Frankenweenie and Taken 2.

Sinister was directed by Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) and stars Ethan Hawke, Vincent D'Onofrio, James Ransone, Fred Dalton Thompson, Nicholas King, Clare Foley, Victoria Leigh, Juliet Rylance and Michael Hall D'Addario.

"A true crime novelist struggling to find his next big story moves his family into a house where the horrific murder of an entire family took place. But after finding a box of home videos in which other families are also brutally murdered, his investigation leads him to a supernatural entity that may be placing his own family in harm's way."
