In a first for the successful found footage franchise, Paranormal Activity 4 is coming to IMAX. It has been officially announced that the movie will be converted to the IMAX format and shown with the standard nationwide release on October 19th. According to Variety, Paranormal Activity 4 will screen at roughly 300 IMAX locations in the US and Canada.

Paranormal Activity 3 directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman have returned for the sequel, which takes place in the present day and follows up on the events of Paranormal Activity 2. As mentioned above, the movie will be released nationwide on October 19th, but if you'd like to see it early, there will be a number of early screenings across the country determined by demand.
