As promised, we're back with an extended preview of The Walking Dead #113 and we have the first seven pages to share with Daily Dead readers. I just had a chance to read through the entire issues and also wanted to provide some brief impressions, without going into major spoilers.

Over the last couple of years, Robert Kirkman has been building up this larger world and we're going to see a major conflict break out between the communities later this year. What could have easily been a filler issue leading up to All Out War is much more when Kirkman throws a number of the main characters into danger and puts them into a situation not too dissimilar to what happened in The Walking Dead #100.

Although it may go unnoticed by some, it seems that Robert Kirkman's individual issue pacing has changed recently and it's for the better. We're seeing more stories that focus on characters other than Rick and it feels like the individual issues are packing more of a punch for those that prefer to read them over the volumes. We've been told that having to wait 30 days for the next issue is one of the biggest complaints from fans and I think this has definitely been taken into account with how the issues are being planned out. While I don't want to oversell this issue, it is my favorite this year.

The events of issue #113 and #114 lead to All Out War in The Walking Dead #115. Learn more about the upcoming issues and the 10th anniversary celebration by visiting the links below.
